Why Practice Score Counting?
Quick mental arithmetic is an essential skill for any darts player. Whether you're playing 501, 301, or any other game, being able to instantly calculate your three-dart total keeps the game flowing and helps you plan your next visit to the board.
Professional players like Michael van Gerwen, Luke Littler, and Luke Humphries can calculate their scores in a split second, allowing them to focus on their throw rather than the maths. This score counting game helps you develop that same instinct.
How the Game Works
You'll be shown three dart scores and must select the correct total from four multiple-choice options. The game features three difficulty levels:
- Easy: Only uses the 20 segment (20, D20, T20) - perfect for beginners
- Medium: Includes 18, 19, and 20 segments plus the bullseye - a good challenge
- Hard: The full dartboard with faster reveal speed - for experienced players
Tips for Faster Counting
Learn to recognise common dart combinations. A maximum 180 (three treble twenties) is the highest possible three-dart score. Treble 20 (60) plus treble 19 (57) equals 117. These patterns become second nature with practice.
Regular practice with this game will help you count scores faster during real matches, giving you more time to focus on your technique and checkout strategy.
