If you’ve been curious about integrated flight systems but don’t want to commit to the premium price of something like the Target K Flex, the Winmau Fusion is worth a look. We’ve been using these for a few months now and they’ve proven themselves as a solid budget-friendly option.

What Are Integrated Flights?
For the uninitiated, integrated flights combine the shaft and flight into a single moulded piece. This eliminates the problem of flights popping off mid-session and reduces the number of robin hoods (when an incoming dart splits the shaft of one already in the board). The trade-off is that when they do break, you’re replacing the whole unit rather than just a cheap flight.
Build Quality
The Fusion is made from polycarbonate, which Winmau describes as offering “class leading durability and deflection control.” In practice, they feel noticeably lighter and perhaps a touch more fragile than the Target K Flex we’ve also tested. That’s not necessarily a criticism at this price point, but it’s worth noting if you’re used to the more substantial feel of premium integrated systems.
After a few months of regular use, we’ve noticed some light scratching on the flight surfaces. Nothing that affects performance, but the pristine look does fade with time. Again, this is pretty standard for any flight that sees regular action.
The Colours
This is where the Fusion really stands out. Winmau has gone all-in on the colour options, offering everything from classic black and white to eye-catching neon yellow, orange, and blue. If you like your darts to make a statement, there’s plenty to choose from.
The neon colours in particular look fantastic under pub lighting, and there’s something to be said for being able to spot your darts instantly from across the room. The colour range isn’t quite as extensive as some competitors, but there’s enough variety for most tastes.
Sizes and Fit
The Fusion comes in three shaft lengths: Short (22mm), Intermediate (28mm), and Medium (34mm). This covers the most popular configurations, though if you prefer extra short or extra long stems you’ll need to look elsewhere.
Fitting is straightforward with a standard 2BA thread that works with virtually any dart barrel. They screw in securely and we haven’t had any issues with them working loose during play.
Value for Money
At around £7-8 per set of three, the Fusion undercuts premium options like the Target K Flex by a reasonable margin. For players who want to experiment with integrated flights without a significant investment, this makes the Fusion an attractive proposition.
The lower price does come with trade-offs in terms of the overall feel and durability, but for casual players or those new to integrated systems, it’s a sensible place to start.
Who Should Buy These?
The Winmau Fusion is ideal for:
- Players trying integrated flights for the first time
- Those who want vibrant colour options
- Budget-conscious players looking for good value
- Anyone tired of replacing separate flights and stems
If you’re already committed to integrated flights and don’t mind paying more for a premium feel, the Target K Flex remains the benchmark. But for everyone else, the Fusion does the job at a friendlier price point.
The Verdict
The Winmau Fusion won’t dethrone the K Flex as the king of integrated flights, but it doesn’t need to. What it offers is a solid, affordable entry point with attractive colours and decent performance. After a few months of use, they’ve earned their place in our rotation.
For your first integrated flight system, you could do a lot worse than the Winmau Fusion.
